 Yes. Almost Home has over 30 years of experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and related memory disorders. The owner/administrator is a certified dementia practitioner as well as a state certified Alzheimer’s trainer. 

7. What is relationship-centered memory care?
 Relationship-centered memory care means we focus on personal histories, preferences, and emotional needs to provide compassionate, tailored support. As the disease progresses and more assistance and help is needed, staff is right there to meet their needs. 

8. How does Almost Home handle challenging dementia behaviors?
 Our staff is trained in gentle redirection, sensory therapies, and personalized routines to manage behaviors with empathy and effectiveness.

9. How do I schedule a tour of Almost Home Assisted Living?

10. What is the cost of assisted living at Almost Home?
 Our rates are all inclusive. We do not charge extra to give your loved the extra assistance and attention they need. We will never ask you to “hire” staff to come and care for your loved one. 

11. Do you accept Medicaid or insurance for assisted living?
 Almost Home is private pay and we accept Long Term Care Medicaid program funding. We will also work with long term care insurance companies.

12. How do I know if its time for memory care?
 If your loved one is experiencing increasing confusion, wandering, and you have safety concerns, it may be time to explore memory care. Once the caregiver cannot be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is suffering physically, emotionally and spiritually, it is time to get additional help.
