No two families, or schedules, are the same. Caregiving demands much and can take you away from your work, hobbies and family life. The families we serve are full time caregivers that have full time careers, have part time jobs, have children that are school age, or just need a break to pursue their own health program. Our flexible schedule helps families Monday through Friday 7am to 6 pm.
Think of DayBreak as a partner in care who will assess your individual and family situation, needs and resources, provide family education, and make referrals to appropriate resources.
Almost Home DayBreak Adult Day Care Center offers Caregiver Education, Memory Programs and Personal Assistance
The foundation of our program is Safety First. We embody a powerful philosophy known as The Best Friends ™ Approach. The philosophy of care is relationship-centered practicing the “art of being together.” When you establish such a bond with another person and become open and trusting with them, you meet that person’s spiritual needs as well as physical and mental needs.
When it comes to caregiving, however, one size does not fit all. Our care program is tailored to meet the specialized needs of all who are afflicted with dementia including Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, Parkinson’s and Frontal-temporal dementias.
We understand the varying needs that result from a specific disease and how to make life more meaningful and pleasant. Such an approach increases self-worth and creates a true failure-free, less threatening world for those with memory loss. We use gentle strategies such as redirection, coaching, cueing and task breakdown to help residents feel good about themselves and their accomplishments.
Almost Home has developed its own unique programs to meet resident needs. Our approach to relationship-centered care helps create satisfying days and meaningful lives for residents, and peace of mind for families.
