Guidance, Education & Consulting

A team is needed to help in the care of a family with Alzheimer’s. Our guidance, education and consulting includes helping you, the family, know and understand what is needed to provide a less stressful caregiving experience. By knowing what you need, when you need it and where to get the proper information and care, can significantly relieve caregiving stress because you will have answers readily available.

Adult Day Care

We provide a safe environment, structure, socialization, and support in a space away from home. As part of providing quality caregiving and helping families remain together delaying long term care placement, day care can provide an affordable care option with the benefit of elevating quality of life and relieving caregiver stress.

Assisted Living

In our small home-like secured environment, we provide personal care at all levels of need using holistic and palliative approaches. From time to time, Alzheimer’s and other memory impaired residents will have behavior issues. With our special team and my expertise, we will help your loved one transition to a more comfortable quality of life.

Jamie Glavich offers Adult Day Care and Assisted Living Homes in Jacksonville Florida

Almost Home founder and owner Jamie Glavich learned the hard lessons many years ago about caring for her mother who had early on-set Alzheimer’s. Her mother was young and had challenging behaviors and it was impossible to find a residential program that would care for her. So, Jamie opened her own. Today, she directs the programs of care at her two assisted living homes and adult daycare center, and is instrumental in serving Florida’s Alzheimer’s care community.

Practice “THE KNACK”

The Knack is the art of doing difficult things with ease. Knack uses knowledge, nurture, approach, community, kinship. The Knack helps us become less task oriented.

Right place, right time, right price

The facility is secured (right place), we will care for your loved one through the progression of the disease (right time) and will maintain affordable pricing for care. Certified to take the Long-Term Medicaid Waiver (right price).

Only 30 seconds

It only takes 30 seconds to change someone’s moment.

Activities are the art of being together

By looking at the resident’s life story we can plan activities that have meaning. Social, physical and spiritual activities are the focus.  Music is an important part of the day because music is the language of Alzheimer’s.

Compassionate care partners

Through staff training and personal experience, care partners become aware and understand that Alzheimer’s is a disease and not a personality defect or a mental illness. We activate compassion by offering kind words, providing personal assistance or support and engaging in acts of service.

Home

Home-like environment that is peaceful, comfortable and secure to meet their physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
