All about the training
Staff are trained by the owner, Jamie Glavich, who is a state certified trainer for Alzheimer’s care, a Best Friends Master trainer and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Jamie has over 30 years’ experience and expertise.
Personalized individualized care
Staff give personal individualized hands-on care as needed using the Best Friends Approach.
Practice “THE KNACK”
The Knack is the art of doing difficult things with ease. Knack uses knowledge, nurture, approach, community, kinship. The Knack helps us become less task oriented.
Right place, right time, right price
The facility is secured (right place), we will care for your loved one through the progression of the disease (right time) and will maintain affordable pricing for care. Certified to take the Long-Term Medicaid Waiver (right price).
Only 30 seconds
It only takes 30 seconds to change someone’s moment.
Activities are the art of being together
By looking at the resident’s life story we can plan activities that have meaning. Social, physical and spiritual activities are the focus. Music is an important part of the day because music is the language of Alzheimer’s.
Compassionate care partners
Through staff training and personal experience, care partners become aware and understand that Alzheimer’s is a disease and not a personality defect or a mental illness. We activate compassion by offering kind words, providing personal assistance or support and engaging in acts of service.
Home
Home-like environment that is peaceful, comfortable and secure to meet their physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
